Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society is an organization comprised of over 70 veterinary facilities to help promote proper veterinary care and educate pet owners in the Western New York area. Elma Animal Hospital is a member hospital and participates in their Free First Exam Services and Pet Emergency Fund Program. Dr. Helen Roberts-Sweeney also actively volunteers for the Free Rabies Clinics offered, has been a presenter for Mini-Vet School, and is a regular on WKBW TV's AM Buffalo Pet Talk Tuesday. "The Pet Emergency Fund is an animal assistance organization that helps defray the cost of emergency veterinary care for owners unable to meet the expense of the services" and is funded entirely by private donations. One of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Katie Stutz was a board member for the organization for 7 years and Elma Animal Hospital is an active participant.
